Finally!

So after eight very long weeks of training, I am finally going to my own store! WooHoo! The store I got was in the Maplewood Mall, which will have some great hours for getting Kaylee to school. Plus, I may even be able to actually see my husband on the weeekends! Get ready for Christmas! Its going to be nuts, and I can't wait!

Exciting!!

So I finally have some amazing news:) After six, yes six, interviews with Caribou, I finally got the job as a store manager! I am so excited to finally after 29 years of life, have a grown up job with grown up pay!!!! Yeah! Tim and I are so excited to finally be able to pay all our bills off and get on with our much deserved happy life! I start the day after Kaylee starts school and cannot wait! Thank you to those of you who have supported us along the way. This summer has been a tough journey, but things look like they are finally looking up. We are excited to start planning a vacation in the Spring, and much more:)

Some other news is that Tim and I both went back to college to finish our business degrees. I'm not sure how long he will go, as work takes up so much of his time the way it is. I am very excited to finally be back and this time get it done! Yes, it will be a lot of work, but I am up for it. I love that he went back with me. It is way more fun to have your husband take classes with you than by yourself!

A little scary

Recently we have found a few bald spots on top of Kaylee's head. It almost looks like she waxed the top of her head. Now, as a mom, I am thinking the worst! Tim just keeps reassuring me that she is okay, but to think that your seven year old daughter is losing her hair is awful. We took her to the doctor and they said that she did not have the autoimmune disease that causes kids to lose their hair. She also does not have a bacterial infection, as of now. They took x-rays and took blood to test for thyroid problems. Thanks goodness, all the tests came back negative, so now we wait. We are going to wash her hair with special shampoo and see if her hair starts to grow back in about a month or so. If not, we will be going to the dermatologist. We will keep ya posted...

Spending some quality time

We were so happy that Tyler came to stay the night at our house! Since moving, we have not seen them very much and the two miss each other tons! Kaylee and Tyler get along so well that it is so sad they are not able to see one another more often. Ty has always had a special spot for his sister in his heart. He is her little protector:)The kids trying to spray me! I had to shut the window before they got me.

Having fun playing in the pool and the slip and slide!

After having fun outside, we decided to go to the MOA and go on some rides.. that and get into some air conditioning.

Before bring Ty home, we went to spend some time at the water park. I think they went down the water slide about 100 times!

Silver Lining?

Well, after a pretty tough last few days, I think things are starting to finally get a little better around here. Wyatt and Owen came up from Nebraska to visit us, which has been a blast. We went to Canadian days and rode some rides, saw fireworks, and went to a parade... which are all better in Minnesota:) We also went to the science museum and the water park. We are supposed to have a sleep over tonight, so we will see what happens (we have no air and its a million degrees outside!)

Life has been kind of tough not having Emelia home with us... especially for me. I feel like I am trying to hold the pieces together all the time and like the other day, I just lost it. I could no longer hold back the tears or the way I feel about all this. Tim and I are great people, so I just don't understand any of it. Well, she is here for the next couple days, so maybe things are looking up.

The silver lining? Last week I had an amazing interview for a job that I would LOVE. Nothing would be better than to get the call to say its mine! So until I wait on that call, I was offered a great teaching position today at a Montessori school in Maplewood. It is something that could lead me to bigger and better things, so we'll see what happens. Keep your fingers crossed!!!

All work, some play:)

We bought a house that was built in 1912 in St. Paul. Let me tell you.. if you want move in ready house, keep looking! I wish I had taken pictures of what the house looked like before we did an amazing amount of work to it, but I was more focused on moving and going on vacation. We are so grateful to Ray and Mary for giving us this opportunity!

Thanks so much to Bill, Tim's dad, for doing all the work to our house! He totally remodeled the kitchen, put up a wall, did electrical work, and I'm sure countless other things that I don't remember right now! We love you so much for helping us get our first house ready to be a home!

Here are some of the pics of the backyard..I will post more soon!

Sweet baby boy

The day after Tim and I got home from Vegas we went out to lunch and decided to walk around the mall. right there in the pet store was my baby staring back at me. He had the most gorgeous face and was totally calm. The second the lady handed him to Tim, I thought my heart was going to melt! (His too, but he may not admit it to you:)
Now, in case you do not know the back story to our little baby.. He used to be a She! Yes we were told our puppy was a girl when we bought her and named her Sophie.. it was not until 8 days later when we went to the vet that they told us we indeed had a male dog! So now his name is Benlty (sometimes called Barkly) cause he really does have a sassy attitude. Fits right in this house!

Bently meeting his sisters:) Instant love on the girl's part- the puppy- not too sure:) We surprised Kaylee at school with our new puppy. She was already happy to see us after a week, but throw in a puppy, she was thrilled!
